Kathryn Bigelow and The Hurt Locker are fantastic! I saw the film at AFI Dallas Saturday night and was blown away by it (no pun intended). Come award season, I want Kathryn, the cast, the writers, and the crew to get some award love.

I’d personally like to see more female action directors, or horror and sci-fi too. Kathryn Bigelow is probably the best out of these women in the article.

I don’t know if she’s great or not (hadn’t seen her work) but Sarah Polly changed from actress to director as well.

Besides, Kathryn Bigelow and Mary Harron, the rest of the female directors listed suck. They are horrible directors.
